Kathmandu: Samsung is said to be working on three new foldable phones, and the most exciting one is the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7. According to leaks and reports, this foldable could be a big upgrade over the previous version – both in looks and performance.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Rumor Overview
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is expected to be taller, wider, and thinner than the Fold6. One of the most noticeable changes will be the slimmer bezels (the borders around the screen). Reliable tipster UniverseIce says the bezels could be just 1mm thick, which would be much thinner than the 1.9mm bezels on the Z Fold6. This means the screen will look bigger and more modern. The smaller Z Flip7 is also rumored to get thinner bezels – around 1.2mm.
As for size, the Z Fold7 might measure around 158.4 x 143.1 x 3.9 mm, making it one of Samsung’s slimmest foldables ever. When it comes to performance, the phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite chip, at least in most parts of the world. That’s great news for people who want a super-fast and smooth phone experience.
Samsung isn’t stopping there. The company is also working on the Galaxy Z Flip7 and a more affordable model called the Z Flip7 FE. The Flip7 will likely get the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite chip in North America and China, but in other regions, it might come with the Exynos 2500 chip, which may not be as powerful. As for the Z Flip7 FE, it could run on the older Exynos 2400, which feels a bit outdated for a phone launching in 2025.
There’s no official word on the price yet, but fans are hoping that Samsung will keep the $1,899 price tag for the 256GB version of the Fold7 – the same as last year’s model. Since prices have already gone up in recent years, another increase might not go over well with buyers.
